Christmas Season in Full Swing in Melgund Township

The Dyment Recreation Hall is aglow with the magic of the season as Christmas preparations reach full swing. Over the weekend, volunteers, neighbours, and local artists came together to transform the hall into a vibrant celebration of holiday spirit, filling the heart of Melgund Township with warmth, colour, and joy.

At the centre of it all stands the newly decorated Christmas tree—radiant, elegant, and brimming with festive charm. Its twinkling lights dance across the hall’s fresh décor, creating a joyful atmosphere that invites visitors to pause, smile, and savor the anticipation that comes with the holidays. Every ornament, ribbon, and handmade detail reflects the creativity, care, and spirit of the community.

With the hall now sparkling with colour and life, it’s ready to host a month of festive gatherings and Christmas programming. From community dinners to family-friendly events, the Dyment Recreation Hall welcomes everyone to celebrate togetherness, joy, and the simple pleasure of sharing a beautifully decorated space.

A heartfelt thank you to Pat, Karen, Jason, Norm, Terri, Maurice, Shawn, Robert, and Jamie from the Local Services Board of Melgund, Art Borups Corners, and Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture for organizing and supporting this wonderful community-building activity.
