The Local Services Board of Melgund is registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a qualified donee for charitable donations.

The Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) is planning a deep geological repository in Revell Township to store about 5.9 million bundles of used nuclear fuel over a roughly 160-year period.

The project assessment is being conducted by the impact assessment agency of canada (IAAC) in collaboration with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).

Local and regional community members are ENCOURAGED to attend an information session with IAAC and the cnsc to learn about the INTEGRATED impact assessment and how they can provide feedback on the draft Integrated Tailored Impact Statement Guidelines and Public Participation Plan.
