Communities celebrate Canada Day 2025 in Northwestern Ontario

Crowds from across the region came out to Melgund Township, Northwestern Ontario this week. The Dyment Recreation Hall complex in Melgund Township was buzzing for a fantastic Canada Day celebration, pulling in almost 100 attendees. The air was alive with the sound of the band Country Twist playing popular tunes, and plenty of people were out on the dance floor, showing off their moves and just soaking up the fun.

The food was a huge hit, too! The busy cookshack was cranking out delicious hotdogs, French fries, smokies, and cheeseburgers all day long. And what a lifesaver the new pavilion was – it just got finished this week and offered some much-needed shade from the sun. Plus, there were new event tents set up, so everyone had a cool spot to hang out and enjoy this great community get-together.

The day's events featured popular local area band Country Twist with Tanya McArthur, Gerry McArthur and Maurice Betournay.

We are incredibly proud to have supported this year’s events and are deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a memorable occasion for everyone.
