Celebrate Canada Day in Melgund Township with an afternoon of live music, local food, arts and community spirit at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Complex on July 1.
Hosted by the Local Services Board of Melgund Recreation Committee and Melgund Recreation, Arts and Culture, the Canada Day Festival will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., welcoming residents and visitors from across Northwestern Ontario for a fun-filled day of entertainment and celebration.
This year’s event will feature live performances by Gerry and Tanya McArthur and Walter and Friends, creating a lively soundtrack for an afternoon of community gathering and Canada Day festivities. Visitors can also enjoy popular favourites from the Cook Shack, including hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and refreshments.
The festival will include an artists and vendors marketplace showcasing local makers, creators and small businesses. Tables are still available for artists, crafters and vendors interested in participating and connecting with festival-goers from across the region.
Whether you’re looking for live music, local art, great food or a family-friendly Canada Day event in Northwestern Ontario, the Melgund Township Canada Day Festival offers something for everyone.
The event takes place July 1 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dyment Recreation Hall and Complex in Melgund Township. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
