Local Services Board of Melgund
The Local Services Board of Melgund operates a community Waste Transfer Station to support safe, responsible waste disposal for residents of Melgund Township and the surrounding area. This service helps keep our community clean while reducing illegal dumping and environmental impacts in Northwestern Ontario.
The Waste Transfer Station is open on Saturdays from 10:00–11:00 p.m. During operating hours, residents may deposit up to two bags of household garbage per week. Please ensure all waste is securely bagged before arrival.
This facility is staffed by dedicated community volunteers, and we ask all residents to be respectful, follow posted signage, and cooperate with volunteers on site. Their time and effort make this essential service possible.
Important Notes
- This service is for residential household waste only
- Commercial or construction waste is not accepted
- Please arrive within posted hours to ensure safe operation
- Follow all guidelines provided by on-site volunteers
Thank you for doing your part to support a clean, safe, and well-cared-for community. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions about waste services, please contact the Local Services Board of Melgund.
